In Sickness And In Health
So, this term is usually applied to the traditional wedding vows but in this case I apply it to being a child in a daycare setting. Today my 2nd son is home with a fever and a sore throat. I still have my little niece staying with us so this means a little added attention to keeping the sick son on the couch and away from his cousin. It is always a little bit of a challenge but worth it in the end if we can keep the sickness contained to only ONE child. The two healthy kids are very happily playing with monster trucks (poor girl doesn't realize this isn't a 'girl' toy) and hugging and kissing each other which is really adorable. My niece has just started to walk and is getting into everything - which is fine since most things down here are still child-proofed from son #3. Just trying to be more diligent about keeping things out of reach! :) So, today looks to be a very low key day, up until I run out of the house for a four hour rehearsal haha - but a lot of cuddling on the couch, and trying to chill out so the sicky gets better soon. It's only too bad that this sick child is the one I have to remind to relax and take it easy....sigh....its gonna be one of those days.
